Aculab (News - Alert), a provider of telephony hardware and software, has updated its cloud-based telephony development platform.
The new version features improved User Interface, conferencing and call transfer, says Aculab.
Developers are encouraged to register for a free developer account and try out the latest Aculab Cloud release at cloud.aculab.com.
Aculab Cloud allows users to rapidly develop telephony applications, using modern, productive, high-level languages (C# and Python).
The control functions allow developers to write applications that manage interactions and call logic (what happens when a call is made or received).
“Aculab Cloud is a robust, scalable and cost-effective platform that hides the complexities of creating telephony-based applications," said Faye McClenahan (News - Alert), Aculab's head of Strategic Marketing. "Built on Aculab's technology heritage and expertise, Aculab Cloud lets all manner (or: any number) of developers harness Aculab's know-how to power a wealth of new, telephony-centric innovations."
Earlier this year, in February, Aculab previewed its cloud-based telephony development platform at the ITEXPO (News - Alert) Conference.
The company showcased Aculab Cloud during this event, and demonstrated how it provides application developers and service providers with a true cloud-based media processing and communications infrastructure that enables a shorter and less expensive time-to-market for existing and emerging telephony-based services.
McClenahan noted that, Aculab Cloud builds on Aculab’s heritage in the telephony market and presents another deployment option for its award winning media processing resources.
