Telecom company 2600 Hz has launched a visual PBX (News - Alert) powered on its Kazoo cloud telecom platform. The Kazoo BETA is a complete business cloud phone system that comes with developer APIs allowing companies to access multiple telephony features and to develop their own telephony applications.
The Kazoo BETA was designed to provide new companies with an all-in-one telephony platform to enhance their professional public presentation.
“New companies often need the professional look and feel early on that enterprises attain only after years of being in business,” says CEO and co-founder Darren Schreiber. “With Kazoo BETA, businesses can use one system to gain all the necessary enterprise features rather than using a makeshift combination of free conference call bridges, Skype (News - Alert) and personal cell phones.”
The hallmark of the Kazoo BETA is its easy-to-use drag-and-drop visual interface. Users can view, edit and manage their own settings without requiring help from an IT consultant. The interface features drag-and-drop call flows, conference bridges, auto-attendant menus and other standard VoIP features such as caller ID and voicemail-to-email.
“Learning a PBX in 30 minutes would be impossible with any other provider because the Kazoo interface is completely drag and drop,” says 2600 Hz customer Joseph Mordica, the CEO of Comtel Connect. “It doesn't get easier than that.”
The Kazoo BETA also supports BYOD. Users can connect any cell phone, analog phone or VoIP device including existing Cisco (News - Alert), Polycom, Android and other SIP devices.
The suite of VoIP features can sync across multiple devices, and multiple devices are serviced at no extra charge to the customer. Since most workers are still using desktop phones, the creators of the Kazoo BETA made sure that the system was not dependent on softphones.
2600 Hz designed Kazoo to provide businesses with the tools to manage and to scale a growing communications infrastructure. Businesses get virtually 100 percent uptime and a double layer of APIs depending on whether they want just the out-of-the-box features or whether they want to customize or integrate applications and services.
The Kazoo download is free, and businesses can start on Kazoo’s hosted platform before moving the solution to their own standalone infrastructure. For a monthly premium, users receive 24/7 monitoring and support as well as free software upgrades.
