Phone.com, a provider of cloud telephony solutions, has partnered with VoodooVox (News - Alert), a provider of customer analytics solutions to advertisers and marketers, to deploy VoodooVox Analytics platform.
Under this agreement, VoodooVox will make its analytics platform available to Phone (News - Alert).com's extensive business customer base, helping it drive advertising and marketing efficiency.
Customer analytics is greatly helpful in driving mobile advertising. VoodooVox uses consumer analytics to provide smarter mobile advertising via cloud. The service benefits publishers, advertisers and operators.
VoodooVox's Analytics is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solution priced on a per seat basis. The service will be deployed to the entire Phone.com customer base. It helps advertisers and marketers target more accurate audience while safeguarding consumers' personal information.
"The phone is the most important tool for all of those in business and now, with the Phone.com caller analytics platform, our customers can learn more about their callers, not just listen to them," said Phone.com CEO and cofounder Ari Rabban, in a statement. "This service will allow our customers to glean new insight from their call volume the same way that Google (News - Alert) Analytics provides valuable insight into Web visitors."
Phone.com is a U.S.-based VoIP and cloud telephony provider focusing on small-sized businesses and home offices (SOHO). The new Phone.com caller analytics solution will provide Phone.com business customers with multiple activity reports on call traffic. They will also have access to VoodooVox's demographic database on 250 million phone numbers.
VoodooVox helps the cloud telephony provider apply sophisticated analytic methods by combining a few national databases, such as U.S. census data and applying statistical methods. With this, the company can relatively accurately derive conclusions about the aggregate of a region's callers without the need to collect, store or know any specific personal information, Rabban added.
"Phone.com is a leader in SOHO telephony, and we are pleased to bring the power of VoodooVox Analytics to this new customer base,” said Mike Durance (News - Alert), CEO of VoodooVox, in a statement. “Phone calls are more than just talk, and VoodooVox Analytics enables businesses of all sizes to learn more about their customers without compromising consumer privacy."
