3CX is the developer of 3CX Phone (News - Alert) System, an open-standard unified communications platform for Windows that works with standard SIP phones and replaces any proprietary PBX. The company is celebrating the beta launch of 3CX Mobile Device Manager, an online service that allows you to easily manage, secure, monitor, find and track any iPhone or Android (News - Alert) devices, by giving away 2,500 free mobile device management accounts to parents.
Wait, parents? That’s right – the IP phone maker provides a convenient and easy-to-use platform for parents to utilize mobile device management for their kids.
The 3CX Mobile Device Manager can remotely track any child with an iPhone or Android phone (2.1 and up), via Google (News - Alert) Maps, and can even provide a complete history of where the child has been for a selected period of time. This offer of a free 3CX Mobile Device Manager account, which includes all available features, is valid until March 31, 2013.
“3CX Mobile Device Manager (News - Alert) makes it simple to find out the exact location of your children at any time and to wipe all data, including photos, from their phones,” said Nick Galea, CEO of 3CX, in a statement. “Parents no longer need to stay up late worrying about where their children are. Most children wouldn’t dream of leaving their precious mobile phone or tablet behind, meaning that their location can always be checked using 3CX Mobile Device Manager.”

The Mobile Device Manager offers functions both parents and enterprises can benefit from. Remote deployment and removal of apps allows the user to review all apps installed on the devices to remove harmful apps quickly and easily, in case someone other than the designated user is using the device there is the remote lock function as well as the data wipe function, which is possible even without an Internet connection.
Earlier this year, 3CX unveiled the cloud version of its popular VoIP IP PBX (News - Alert) system. The 3CX Phone System Multi Tenant allows 3CX Partners to offer their customers a hosted 3CX service for smaller firms that don’t want invest in their own dedicated server. The Multi Tenant version, however, allows them to host up to 10 3CX Phone System instances on just one Windows operating system.
The service is offered in four different editions: Mini, Small, Business or Pro. The service can be upgraded to include advanced features like advanced real-time queue statistics, as well as listen, listen and whisper and barge in features.
