Datapipe (News - Alert), a provider of managed services and infrastructure for outsourced IT and cloud computing, has been keeping busy by snagging multiple prestigious awards for its renowned Stratosphere cloud solution. The newest addition to its string of honors is the “2012 Cloud Computing Excellence Award” presented by TMC’s (News - Alert) Cloud Computing Magazine.
Every year, TMC presents Cloud Computing Excellence Awards to companies that have most effectively leveraged cloud computing in their efforts to bring new, differentiated offerings to the market. Datapipe was nominated for its renowned Stratosphere Managed Cloud Computing Platform, which is designed to cater enterprise requirements for governance, usability, compliance and interoperability.
“Datapipe continues to prove its leadership by bringing innovation and excellence to the market and leveraging the latest technology trends,” said Erik Linask (News - Alert), group editorial director at TMC, in a statement. “The company’s Stratosphere platform is cloud computing at its best — making their designation as a ‘Cloud Computing Excellence Award’ winner a natural choice.”
Datapipe’s Stratosphere cloud management portal offers self-service cloud environments and cloud diversity in conjunction with the AWS ecosystem — as well as hybrid cloud options featuring Datapipe’s managed hosting, compliance and security services.
“We’re focused on helping customers realize the benefits of cloud computing. The Stratosphere(R) platform is uniquely designed to deliver high-performance, elastic cloud services that meet the complex needs of today’s global enterprise,” explained Ed Laczynski, Datapipe’s VP of Cloud Strategy. “We are honored to receive this award in recognition of our achievements.”
Last week, Datapipe was also honored as October’s most reliable cloud hosting company by Netcraft, which measures and makes available the response times of around 40 leading hosting providers’ sites. The fact that two of Datapipe’s major data centers are located in Somserset with its headquarters located in the heart of New Jersey – Jersey City – where Hurricane Sandy swept through and left a trail of destruction is especially impressive. Even more is the fact that the company is situated very close to areas where analysts predicted a 100 percent probability of a storm surge higher than six feet.
Additionally, the company also secured eighth place on Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Top 20 Tech & Telecom list of the largest green power users, which reflects the company’s undeterred commitment to safeguard the environment by improving its existing partnership with EPA’s Green Power Partnership.
