Trilithic Offers Communication Test Equipment for RF/Microwave, Cable and Broadcast Markets

Communications are an important element of any business and when communications test equipment is not operating properly, the company is putting itself and its brand at risk. Trilithic is one company offering a full range of communication test equipment, focusing on the needs of the customer base. The company also offers one of the widest and best selections of attenuators and test components available on the market today. The general capabilities offered by Trilithic extend from DC to 18 GHz with power handling up to 1000 Watts.

To meet the growing need for RF and microwave fixed filters, Trilithic manufactures a complete line of fixed frequency bandpass, bandreject, highpass and lowpass filter products. The filters are available through a wide variety of formats, such as Lumped Component, Miniature, Standard Cavity, Coaxial – Tubular and Custom Cavity.

To extend its communication test equipment solutions, Trilithic leverages capabilities that combine engineering and design, leaning on the strength of two of the most senior filter companies in the world: CIR-Q-TEL and Texscan Instruments Division, which have been custom designing such communication test equipment since in the early 1960’s.

Trilithic also designs and manufacturers Tunable Filters in Bandreject and Bandpass versions, which are both ideally suited for prevision test and measurement environments. In the VF series, Bandpass models offer a frequency coverage range from 6 to 4000 MHz with a single model covering an octave. Units tend to be housed in aluminum casing and offer three or 5 section configurations.

To expand its reach in the communication test equipment market, Trilithic also designs custom automated preselector filters that feature GPIB control for switching a series of fixed filters and tuning a variable filter bank for lab environments and CATV applications. 

Trilithic also offers communication test equipment microwave switches that are electromechanical, or relay activated, and pin diode switches. A wide range of microwave terminations are also offered, from 50 to 75 Phm fixed RF/Microwave. Input powers can range from 1 Watt to 1000 Watts, with connector options ranging from BNC to SMA (News - Alert).
