Communications solutions provider Tadiran (News - Alert) Telecom has introduced the availability of Aeonix, a new unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) solution that delivers powerful, flexible and adaptable communications to large and small enterprises.
The company has also unveiled an introductory special offer of 70 percent of user licenses of Aeonix free of charge. The offer is available to the company’s existing 100,000 Coral System customers worldwide who want to migrate to Aeonix.
Aeonix is a pure IP software based Unified Communications (News - Alert) and Collaboration (UC&C) solution designed to empower distributed organizations by consolidating powerful business applications under a flexible and intuitive communications solutions platform.
Featuring an open architecture and intuitive management interface, Aeonix allows customers to adapt and grow according to the emerging demands from the customers. The automated network diagnostics and recovery mechanisms for robust fault tolerance have given the software-based UC&C solution an extra edge.
The Linux based solution supports open protocols such as SIP (Unmodified), CSTA, and Web services. It also integrates seamlessly with a variety of common applications and has the ability to add user specific devices to the system (BYOD). The scalability of the solution allows customers to buy and install only what they currently need.
"While current unified communication solutions are generally based on legacy platforms and "patches" of acquired technologies, Aeonix presents a unique approach to lower total cost of ownership," said Eldad Barak, president and CEO of Tadiran Telecom, in a statement. "Aeonix's private cloud deployment empowers distributed environments with all the flexibility and scalability of pure software architecture and open standards.”
The company has already installed Aeonix in dozens of beta sites globally. Medford School District, located in Oregon, US, is one of them.
"Medford School was looking to upgrade to a Unified communications solution that was technologically advanced, scalable and easy to manage," said Jeffrey Bales , manager, Network Services at Medford School District. "Implementation of the Aeonix took half of the time that we had allocated. Upgrading to Aeonix is a huge jump forward in technology and stability" continued Bales.
