AboveNet, Inc., a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions, recently announced that it will connect to the Cervalis data centers located in Stamford, Conn., and Totowa, New Jersey. The move will allow AboveNet to provide Cervalis customers with diverse, low-latency routes to other top business centers. Also, the customers will be able to access AboveNet's private, optical network and extensive fiber footprint for connectivity in and between top metro markets in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The Cervalis data center in Stamford also represents an AboveNet IP POP (point-of-presence) which enables AboveNet to deliver Tier 1 IP service to the Cervalis client base at affordable rates. Its infrastructure includes more than 2.3 million fiber miles, an intercity network spanning approximately 12,000 route miles and a global Tier 1 IP backbone.

"The partnership is part of Cervalis' continuing efforts to provide additional premiere networking capabilities to our customers.”

"Our network is specifically engineered to deliver fast, dedicated, secure connectivity to critical business locations, and we look forward to expanding our network to serve additional enterprise and carrier customers in the tri-state area."
AboveNet is known for its high bandwidth connectivity solutions for business and carriers. Its private optical network delivers key network and IP services in and between top U.S. and European markets.
Recently, DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc., (DFT) selected AboveNet to provide fiber connectivity in the company’s wholesale data center NJ1 located in Piscataway, N.J. AboveNet will deploy equipment at DFT’s NJ1 data center, utilizing DFT’s underground and secure 3-lateral conduit bank system, and will make the facility an IP and metro Ethernet POP.
