Reno, Nevada-based Server Technology (News - Alert) announced this morning that it will be showing off its complete line of data center power monitoring and management solutions at the upcoming Teledata Technology Convergence (News - Alert) Conference, which officially kicks off on Feb. 23 in Santa Clara, California.
Brandon Ewing, president of Server Technology, said in a statement that the company will use the conference as a venue to exhibit some of its newest products, including its PIPS (Per Inlet Power Sensing) CDUs (Cabinet Power Distribution Units).
"For the first time ever, we have one of our patented PIPS CDUs on our demo rack," Ewing said while previewing the conference. "The PIPS feature is our newest technology that provides more accurate and more types of power monitoring than any other method."
"Our PIPS products are also capable of Wire-Free power monitoring with RF Code Sensor Tags," he added. "We'd love to invite attendees to visit our booth and see the PIPS and Wire-Free solutions."
These Sentry PIPS CDUs can offer end users a more capable level of power monitoring per inlet/infeed, which includes voltage, current, power, apparent power, crest factor, reactance, power factor and accumulated energy, according to the release.
The power information provided by Server Technology's new line of products provide greater accuracy and lower cost monitoring of each circuit attached to the CDU compared to traditional branch circuit monitoring devices, which companies often install in power distribution panels or a remote power panel.
Server Technology and RF Code worked together to design and develop the wire-free rack level power monitoring solution, which has been proven to offer greater data center efficiency.
The data center power monitoring solution enables "RF Code sensor tags to capture and then transmit power monitoring in-feed and device level data with Per-Outlet-Power-Sensing (POPS) from the Server Technology CDUs, to the RF Code wire-free active reader infrastructure," according to the release. When this step is completed, the readers send the data to RF Code's Sensor Manager software.
To see an exhibition of Server Technology's new data center power monitoring solutions, stop by the Santa Clara Convention Center on Feb. 23.
