Server Technology (News - Alert), a provider of data center distribution units, has certainly been making a name for itself as of late – from the unveiling of its Sentry Power System to the announcing of its new Server Tech Solutions Partner Program – and the company is not done with seeing its name in the spotlight.
This week, Server Technology announced that it will be joining data center power experts from nlyte Software and RF Code in a series of IT infrastructure energy efficiency workshops entitled, “Navigating the DCIM Waters: What every data center professional needs to know,” to be held in Santa Clara, Calif., April 26; New York City, N.Y., May 1; and Houston, Tex., May 8.
The workshops, which include a keynote speech from Uptime Institute Founder Bruce Taylor, are designed to give attendees a clear understanding of DCIM to help them evaluate and choose a DCIM solution.
"DCIM tools are foundational to the unifying and automating of IT and facilities management processes and best practices to effectively monitoring, measurement and management of critical environment capacity," said Taylor, vice president of Uptime Institute Symposium, the independent guest facilitator for this workshop. "This matters to not only the performance effectiveness of the interrelated systems, but also the energy efficiency. Effective DCIM systems are the ‘killer apps’ in the now-present era of digital infrastructure convergence.”
The half-day workshops will cover the state-of-the-art DCIM Technologies; the strategic importance of DCM (News - Alert); actionable DCIM through partnership; and getting started in DCIM.
The workshop schedule is as follows:
- Santa Clara, Calif.: April 26, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Techmart
- New York City, N.Y.: May 1, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Regus Park Avenue
