iTRACS Corporation, a provider of enterprise-class Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and environment monitoring solutions, has released the latest iTRACS Converged Physical Infrastructure Management (CPIM) v2.6.0.
The updated DCIM delivers enhanced capabilities to offer new level of efficiency, business continuity and collaborative decision-making in the management of physical infrastructure.
With robust asset discovery, the solution brings faster time to value, while real-time alarm monitoring ensures business continuity. The extended reporting features accelerate collaborative decision-making in today's most complex infrastructure environments.
CPIM v2.6.0 streamlines the discovery of assets in the physical infrastructure by optimizing the ability of the software to "see" new assets and map them inside of the virtual model powered by iTRACS' Interactive 3D Visualization. The method eliminates the delays associated with conventional asset discovery.
With enhanced real-time monitoring in CPIM v2.6.0, iTRACS' Alarm Manager provides detailed visualization of what is going on and what to do about it. Once the event is resolved and repair work is complete, iTRACS automatically notifies the user and updates the DCIM environment for a true closed loop.
CPIM v2.6.0 provides key operational and strategic insight to information through commonly-used dashboards and reports. These insights are created faster than ever and easily shared by stakeholders across the entire data center community – IT, Facilities, Building Management Systems, and Business.
"This latest release extends the business value of iTRACS CPIM and helps decision-makers maximize their return on the DCIM investment," said Elizabeth Given, president and CEO of iTRACS, in a statement.
"Customers can optimize the processes that support moves, adds, and changes; resolve service issues faster to keep their IT running at peak performance; and collaborate on both tactical and strategic decisions using real-world insight to drive positive business outcomes," Given added.
Earlier this year, Gartner (News - Alert) predicted DCIM will see 60 percent market penetration by 2014. That’s because DCIM can help businesses reduce their data center operational costs by 20 percent, reduce the time it takes to deploy new servers by 50 percent, and prolong the life of their data center by up to five years.
