Server Technology (News - Alert) is a provider of the highest quality rackmount power distribution and monitoring solutions that help manage power capacity, reduce downtime and improve energy efficiency. It serves the biggest companies in the world with the most demanding network environments, which means Server Technology is constantly on top of its game in the data center power industry.
The data center power solutions provider will be attending the 11th Annual Datacenter Dynamics Converged London Conference, a global peer-led data center conference and expo taking place in London on Nov. 14-15 at ExCel ICC, bringing together more than 2,000 delegates, 100 speakers, 70 technical presentations and 90 exhibitors.
“Server Tech has had a longstanding relationship with Datacenter Dynamics – we participate in a number of their events throughout the year all over the world, and the DCD London event is their premier International event,” said Marc Marazzi, vice president International Sales, Server Technology. “It draws data center professionals from all over the area, not just the U.K. and Ireland, so it’s a great chance for us to promote our intelligent rackmount PDUs and SPM, our power management solution. There is so much data center growth and consolidation going on internationally right now – and, our products and solutions solve so many of the challenges faced in data centers today – energy costs and efficiency, uptime, green IT and power management.”
Server Technology will be exhibiting at DCD London, showing some of its newest PDUs, including metered, smart and switched. Its metered PDUs have local LED input current monitoring, allowing network engineers to utilize the PDUs’ True RMS Power Monitor to precisely measure the current (in amps) that network devices are drawing on the power circuit. Its smart PDUs allow users to monitor power, temperature and humidity levels through any Web browser, and you can get simple network management protocol (SNMP) alerts or e-mail alerts when any of those things exceed thresholds you have previously assigned. The Switched CDU (Cabinet Power Distribution Unit) products make managing your data center easier, providing the capability to securely monitor and control cabinet power via a network for a data center or remote branch office. The Switched CDUs combine networked configuration and management with power distribution and power and environmental monitoring.
Also at DCD next week, Server Technology will have a variety of 400 v products, switched unites with Per Outlet Power Sensing (POPS) and Per Inlet Power Sensing (PIPS) features, which give the most accurate and reliable power information available on the market today.
“Server Technology PDUs are known to be the best-of-breed PDUs in the market today because of the engineering, quality and reliability associated with our units. We will also be showing our Sentry Power Manager (SPM) power monitoring and management solution,” said Marazzi.
SPM is designed to help data centers monitor and manage their power usage and achieve their green initiative goals. Users can install SPM into many different PDUs and cabinets, and the application will bring all of that information into the SPM for reporting, inventory, power information, trends, scheduling and more. The latest version 5.2 features new incredible functionalities such as SNAP, which lets you autoconfigure hundreds or thousands of PDUs from a single dashboard, and Predictive Trending Analytics, which gives you ‘future’ power information for your data center based on scenarios that you set up.
“You’ll know if you have a problem before you have a problem,” explained Marazzi.
With 87 percent of the 2011 FT Global 100 sending representatives to Datacenter Dynamics’ events last year, the opportunity to meet the key players in the industry is unparalleled. Attendees should keep an eye out for Server Technology, which hopes to leave a lasting impression on participants.
“Server Technology is known for manufacturing the most reliable data center rack PDUs in the world today,” said Marazzi. “We ‘stick to our knitting’ and that means sticking to being the PDU experts and not manufacturing anything else. We have more engineers than any other company focused on innovation and technology advancements in PDUs.”
The focus of this show is Design, Build, Operate – focusing on every part of the mission critical data center and new technologies, from site selection and engineering design to power availability and full data center automation.
“Whether it’s a new data center or an upgrade or consolidation of an existing facility, all data centers need rackmount PDUs,” said Marazzi. “We’re looking forward to networking with DCD London attendees and demonstrating the superior features, functionality and engineering of our power management products & solutions.”
