Tools4ever has developed a connector for Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communications Manager meant for processing VoIP traffic.
The new tool from Tools4ever (News - Alert), a specialist in providing solutions for Identity and Access Management (IdM), enables the management of users, telephone handsets and hunt groups within Cisco to be organized automatically based on information from the HR system.
Tools4ever's UMRA application also enables companies to modify or delete users or user groups automatically when the details change in the HR system.
UMRA can check if the user already exists when a person is entering the details in Cisco UCM and this capability avoids duplication. The UMRA connector with Cisco UCM also allows effective management of telephone handsets, users and a group of employees accessible under one and the same group number.
This application ensures that a department or individual is notified on time about staff changes, and a telephone is linked quickly to a new employee.
Tools4ever notes that several companies deploy UMRA for the day-to-day management of user accounts in the Active Directory. The solution serves as a graphic shell around the network which allows a service desk to use electronic forms to carry out user account management tasks safely.
UMRA also uses (standard) connectors to carry out management of users within other systems.
Tools4ever is an Identity Management market specialist in the Netherlands delivering various software products and integrated consultancy services for Identity Management. The company was in news this summer for introducing a new solution for helpdesk client identification.
