Original Avaya Select Partner 911 ETC Serves Canadian Market

By Rich Steeves, TMCnet Managing Editor

In any walk of life, it is good to be counted in elite company. College basketball teams want to be in the Final Four; actors want to be among the five Oscar nominees; and technology companies like to be in elite company as well. In the realm of telecommunications, one elite group is the Avaya (News - Alert) Select Product Program. E911 hosted solutions provider 911 ETC was one of the original members of that group, a group which is now bringing a host of solutions to an international market: Canada.

911 ETC (News - Alert) was one of only eight original members chosen by Avaya during the initial launch of the Select Product Program when it debuted in the United States in February of 2012. The Select Products are specific solutions from DevConnect (News - Alert) partners which can be ordered from both Avaya and Avaya Connect Partners. In the case of 911 ETC, its CrisisConnect solution was part of the initial rollout of the SPP program in the United States earlier this year. Now, as of August 27, it is available in Canada as well.

CrisisConnect is available in two forms: a fully managed and automated hosted E911 solution for the enterprise, which automatically accepts enterprise extension location details from the client’s existing change management systems. It is also available as a fully managed VoIP network location positioning and call transaction service that is often used in conjunction with the other solution.

It accommodates ac customer’s current communication platform, providing service-based enterprise E911 solutions in a SaaS (News - Alert) model. It is completely automated, offers database error flagging and correction, uses existing end-user communication server capabilities and integrates to existing change management systems. It meets E911 legislation requirements, can seamlessly integrate with on-campus IP discovery applications, and properly locate networked remote sites. As mentioned, it is DevConnect certified and is now available in both the US and Canada.
