Organizations Continue to Implement the Biscom Enterprise Fax Platform at a Rapid Pace

By Deepika Mala, TMCnet Contributor

Biscom, Inc., a provider of enterprise fax servers, hosted cloud fax services, and secure file transfer solutions, has recently revealed that its hybrid fax platform is helping multiple companies overcome issues such as interruptions to Web traffic and hardware/software failures that negatively impact the way they completed business transactions with customers, suppliers, or patients.

The Hybrid Fax Platform is unique on the market due to the fact that includes both on-premises fax servers and a hosted cloud service that share an identical interface and work together seamlessly.

While traditional fax solutions implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies such as redundant fax servers which require twice the capital investment and may not solve disaster recovery issues at single-location entities, this platform provides a better way to provide scalable resources for guaranteed business continuity or peaks in workload.

Acclaris, a developer of consumer reimbursement accounts and health exchanges that serves 30,000 customers including many Fortune 50/500 firms, is one of the companies that has benefitted immensely from Biscom's hybrid fax platform. The company receives more than 5,000 fax pages daily, which clearly shows fax reliability is key to its success.

Officials from the company said that by opting for Biscom’s solution, it now has access to a fax system that provides non-stop business continuity.

"The moment our customers try to fax and get a busy tone, they will pick up the phone to call us, costing us time and money," said Subhadip Chatterjee, VP of Information Technology at Acclaris, in a press release. "A big driver for us is reliability. End users need fax and when it doesn't work they send receipts in via postal mail. That results in more work for us and lower customer satisfaction."

"Implementing this solution has resulted in big savings in both time and money. The more efficient fax is for our end-users, the more they'll use it and the less they'll call our support desk," Chatterjee added. "With Biscom's hybrid fax platform, you can set it up, forget about it and it keeps working."
