As an increasing number of users create and share numerous videos on the Internet, the need to encrypt these videos to make them safer is evident more than ever before. Many companies have recognized this need and have come up with various products to encrypt the videos.
One of these firms is Tigerspike and recently it has unveiled a safe and fast encryption algorithm named Karacell. According to the company, this platform out performs AES in both strength and speed.
Karacell is created for parallel computing. When parallel computing was in its initial stage and the Nokia (News - Alert) 3310 was the best selling mobile device on the market, AES was approved as the industry standard. In the near future, parallel processing will become more widely used as mobile phones now have four processors. Yielding orders of magnitude faster than processing with AES or other encryption algorithms; Karacell's design facilitates encryption to run across many processors.
Video encryption is a highly useful way of stopping unwanted interception of videos. It can also stop the viewing of any transmitted video or any other type of information. Digital video with encryption devices need fewer personnel to operate it when compared to most normal surveillance and security systems.
Luke Janssen, Tigerspike CEO added, “We know that security is critical when it comes to enterprise mobility, and are investing for the long term. Karacell will revolutionize mobile security and encryption in general, also giving our Phoenix platform a unique point of difference over other enterprise mobility platforms.”
Back in July of this year, the company revealed its new quantum resistant mobile encryption technology, Karacell, which at the time was patent pending in 144 countries around the world. The new technology is touted as bringing mobile security to a new level and changing how companies and individuals keep their data safe on personal technology devices.
