NXP Software (News - Alert) announced the launch of LifeVibes VoiceExperience for mobile devices, a next generation speech and sensing technology for enabling smarter communications. This innovative technology is expected to revolutionize the existing mobile phone ecosystem by adding unprecedented value delivered through in-depth consumer research, various partnerships and strengthened customer relations. NXP Software is scheduled to showcase the software at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
The LifeVibes VoiceExperience features the advanced noise suppression and beam forming algorithms that eliminate the noise elements from the surrounding area to enable clear communication on mobile devices between two people. Further, when multiple people are participating in the call, the beam forming capability automatically identifies the speaker and increases the voice of the speaker.
In a release, Edwin Zuidema, marketing director at NXP Software, said “You will be amazed what tomorrow's smart devices can do for you; for example with fullband calling and a voice UI your device is already smarter than ever. And LifeVibes speech and sensing solutions will make your devices even more human, more you!”
Further, the technology also features acoustic echo cancellation feature which eliminates the effects of background noise while using voice commands feature of the mobile device. The HD-quality voice calls are the emerging trend in the telecommunications sector, which is making traditional narrowband calls almost obsolete. LifeVibes VoiceExperience software is capable of extending the bandwidth of narrowband calls to enable wideband experience to customers by converting narrowband calls to full HD calls.
LifeVibes solutions are also designed to automatically identify the location of a smartphone user to optimize the use of smart devices. In most of the cases, the LifeVibes solution adds the context awareness dimension to the smart device usage, thus improving the customer experience significantly.
NXP Software is engaged in the development of mobile voice and multimedia solutions specializing in delivering use-cases and innovative applications for device manufacturers to provide unprecedented media experience. The company’s recently launched LifeVibes software is expected to unleash the full potential of mobile hardware and software platforms by bringing in new dimension in the usage of connected devices.
