Symmetricom, Inc., a provider of precise time solutions for the communications, aerospace, defense, IT infrastructure and metrology industries, has announced that three of its prime officials will be addressing the participants of the Carrier Ethernet World APAC Congress taking place at the Excelsior Hotel in Hong Kong through Dec. 3. These officials include Raillin Wirjo, senior product manager; Rajendra Datta, senior director of OEM marketing; and Joseph Neil, director of business development at Symmetricon.
Carrier Ethernet World Asia Pacific Congress is a meeting and educational forum for the Ethernet transport and services industry in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The event is regarded to be the official Metro Ethernet Forum (News - Alert) APAC event, and provides access to important regional contacts and market intelligence as well.
At the event, Raillin Wirjo will present on Dec. 1, at 4 p.m., and will offer IEEE 1588 interoperability and performance test results for both frequency and time applications. On Thursday, Dec. 2, Rajendra Datta will speak at 4:35 p.m. on the topic “Maximizing Throughput in Carrier Ethernet Networks to Support the Move to Ethernet Backhaul,” and in conjunction with panelists from Vodafone Hutchison, IP Infusion and Ericsson (News - Alert) will help the participants in understanding the implications of network design on throughput and effectively monitoring networks to get an accurate picture of throughput. Joseph Neil will present on Friday, Dec. 3, at 12:10 p.m., on the topic “Assessing the Development of Packet Optical Transport Networking and the Benefits for Service Providers,” and will share his ideas on understanding how service providers can benefit from the latest optical and Ethernet networking solutions and evaluating vendor approaches to Packet Optical Transport and the alternative solutions available along with panelists from Tata Communications, Alcatel Lucent (News - Alert), Ericsson and Ciena.
Apart from its officials offering their valuable insight at the Carrier Ethernet World APAC Congress, Symmetricom will also be participating in the EANTC Product Interoperability Showcase where it will highlight the telecom vendors who are testing their equipment and solutions for the Carrier Ethernet market. Additionally, the company will showcase its portfolio of standards-based solutions.
