By Brian Solomon
TMCnet Web Editor
Patton (News - Alert) has expanded its VoIP CPE product line by adding a low-cost, rich-featured, 2- BRI PSTN
VoIP Gateway (News - Alert).
“Along with reliability, interoperability is critical,” said Patton president Ramon Felder
The 4-call SmartNode 4554 BRI PSTN Gateway enhances the small-office user experience with transparent ISDN
features like Explicit Call Transfer, Advice of Charge, Calling Line Identification Presentation and Calling Line Identification Restriction.
The new gateway is certified for interoperability with major IP-PBX
vendors such as Asterisk, 3CX, PingTel and others. It connects any IP-PBX (News - Alert) system to the ISDN PSTN via two BRIs.
The Model SN4554 Gateway is currently priced at $489, resetting the low-cost standard for small business VoIP CPE. Major enterprise deployments include a VoIP-over-VPN
Network with secure, encrypted voice for a 1200-site retail chain.
