Patton (News - Alert)-Inalp Networks has expanded their VoIP
CPE product line with a rich-featured, very-low-cost 2- BRI PSTN VoIP Gateway (News - Alert).
The 4-call SmartNode 4554 BRI PSTN Gateway is certified for interoperability with major IP-PBX
vendors that include 3CX, Asterisk (News - Alert), PingTel, and others. The Gateway connects any IP-PBX system to the ISDN PSTN via two BRIs.
Patton-Inalp’s new SN4554 enhances the small-office user experience with such transparent ISDN
features as Explicit Call Transfer (ECT), Advice of Charge (AOC), Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) and Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR).
“Along with reliability, interoperability is critical,” said Ramon Felder, president in a statement.
Felder continued: “But it’s more than economics. Who wants the headache of fighting with an overpriced router, staying up half the night, forcing it work with a standard IP-PBX? That's why all the big integrators-like IBM (News - Alert)-love us. SmartNode is the industry's most interoperable VoIP gateway. A record-breaking price doesn't hurt either.”
The Model SN4554 Gateway is priced at $489, resetting the low-cost benchmark on VoIP CPE for small-business telephony systems. The company compares with a 4-call gateway from AudioCodes (News - Alert), the model MP404, at $853 MSRP.
According to Patton-Inalp Networks, major enterprise deployments for SmartNode include a VoIP-over-VPN
Network with Secure, Encrypted Voice for a 1200-Site Retail Chain.
Marco Liechti, product manager said that it’s another grand-slam. The SmartNode 4554 covers all the bases from industry-leading voice quality, rich ISDN features, proven reliability to certified interoperability, plus extremely competitive pricing. He believes that is why 3CX is bundling their solution with theirs.
“And our batting average keeps rising. That's why vendors like Amris-IP
, SipFoundry, Communigate... they're all lining up to join our team,” he added.
