BroadLight, one of the leading suppliers of fiber access processors, recently announced the release of its Helios embedded processor line of products.
The Helios line from BroadLight will feature highly-integrated single-chip solutions that can be widely used by networking CPE’s for the access market. The new Helios line leverages BroadLight’s innovative fiber grade architecture in combination with its 40nm technology to provide a high performance and flexible multi-core processor to the market for applications such as security appliances and integrated wireless business routers, business CPE’s, VoIP-enabled access and Ethernet Access Gateways.
The new Helios products will complement the market’s leading Alto GPON product line and also provide BroadLight customers with a unified hardware and software platform which they can use to develop a significantly broader variety of carrier grade access products and technologies. BroadLight has customers shipping solutions into carrier class routers as well as securing additional customer design wins to date.
In a release, Raanan Gewirtzman, BroadLight’s CEO said, “BroadLight has expanded our product offerings to enable our current and future customers with top of the line carrier grade processors that will offer highest quality of performance for product designs.”
The Helios product line is being made available in production quantities now. The Helios product offerings will be displayed at CommunicAsia (News - Alert) 2011, booth 1B5-02 in Singapore from June 21-24. The company will also be presenting at the conference’s Next Generation Broadband Track.
