) Deutschland GmbH, provider of high-performance computing solutions across Europe, announced the availability of Mellanox’s line of InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity solutions with NEC LX Series Supercomputers through NEC HPC Europe.
There is a growing demand for Mellanox’s (News - Alert) end-to-end connectivity products and advanced technology from leading European HPC centers, cloud computing providers and enterprise customers. Now with the availability of Mellanox’s line of InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity solutions NEC will be able to effectively meet this growing demand.
In a release, Dr. Andreas Findling, Senior Product Line Manager, at HPC Europe in NEC Deutschland said, “HPC customers across Europe are investing in new server and storage technologies such as GPU computing and integrating multi-core CPUs that require scalable and efficient, high-performance connectivity products. Mellanox’s end-to-end FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand and 10/40GbE connectivity solutions, comprise of ConnectX-3 line of I/O adapter products, cables and also includes the extensive suite of SwitchX family of fixed and modular switches. Additionally, it comes equipped with management and acceleration software and cables, which provide performance optimization and offer scalability on return-on-investment for performance interconnects.
The NEC LX Series with its family of LX-2200, LX-2400 and LX-4000 has been designed to provide customized HPC solutions capable of offering consistent performance computing. By enhancing the InfiniBand network, NEC MPI/LX, LX C3 (News - Alert) and LXFS products and with enhanced component interaction performance for production load can be effectively optimized.
