Patton (News - Alert) Electronics is ready to release the newest member of its SmartNode VoIP family and will officially begin the process in May of this year.
In fact, the company has already begun to take orders for the 8-to-24-call SmartNode 4670 BRI/FXS/FXO VoIP Integrated Access Device (IAD) with built-in G.SHDSL broadband access.
Up to 20 percent discounts are available to new customers untill April 30, depending on order quantity and timing.
Patton Electronics notes that the SmartNode 4670 has the ability to reduce provisioning and maintenance costs for carrier-providers by doing the work of three customer-premise-equipment (CPE) devices. In addition, the new release uniquely combines an ISDN VoIP gateway, an analog VoIP gateway, and G.SHDSL router functions in a single device.
Broadband providers can provision the SN4670 on customer sites to offer business-quality IP-based voice, fax and data services for up to 8 BRIs and up to 8 FXS/FXO lines. The services have been bundled with high-speed Internet access over 4-wire G.SHDSL.
The company intends to add more WAN options, including Fiber, EFM and ADSL later this year. These options are also available on request for the small-footprint SmartNode 4670.
SmartNode 4670 is ideal for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) as it facilitates unified communications by IP-enabling digital ISDN-PBX (News - Alert) systems and analog phone, fax, answering-machine, and audio-intercom systems.
Moreover, the device can deliver G.SHDSL broadband connectivity at speeds up to 11.4 Mbps, and can support 8-to-16 voice or fax calls over the Internet or private IP network.
Patton was in the news last month when the SmartNode 5400 Enterprise Session Border Router Enterprise (ESBR) with integrated 11.38 Mbps four-wire G.SHDLS.bis WAN interface won the INTERNET TELEPHONY 2011 Product of the Year award.
