Vertical Systems Group’s Mid-Year 2012 Global Provider Leaderboard has ranked Orange Business Services as leading global provider of Ethernet services for the third consecutive year. Orange Business Services is a branch of France Telecom (News - Alert)-Orange that is dedicated to B2B services, serving as a global integrator of communications solutions for multinational corporations.
According to a statement, France Telecom-Orange has developed very high-speed broadband networks, which is ultimately what enabled it to achieve this distinction. the Global Provider Leaderboard measures retail business Ethernet ports that are installed at customer sites that are foreign to providers.

Orange has deployed a very high-speed network that helps in stimulating economic growth and competition. Officials highlighted the fact that Orange Business Services (News - Alert) delivers International Ethernet Link in 79 cities in 40 countries besides adding seven cities in developing markets in 2012. Ethernet access to IP-based VPN has been deployed in 72 countries, including Madagascar, Mauritius, Senegal, Uganda and Zambia.
Furthermore, Orange Business Services delivers Ethernet as a standard solution in Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and South Korea, with the company having added over 2,500 Ethernet connections since last year.
