D-Link Launches Wi-Fi Extenders Featuring Advanced 11AC Wi-Fi Technology
D-Link (News - Alert) Systems Inc., announced the launch of a new range of Wi-Fi Extenders featuring the advanced 11AC Wi-Fi technology for expanding the range of existing wireless network by integrating dual-band connectivity. The newly launched Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Range Extender (DAP-1650) and Wireless AC750 Dual Band Range Extender (DAP-1520) are backward compatible allowing users to expand the range of 11N as well as 11AC networks. Additionally, the new extenders also enable adding of 5GHz connectivity with the push of a button to a single band network.

D-Link will showcase the new Wi-Fi Dual Band extenders at the Consumer Electronics Show scheduled in Las Vegas during January 2014. The newly launched extenders deliver dual band connectivity converting a single router into an effective dual band application and are compatible with the various routers available in the market. For additional security, the extenders offer secured wireless encryption through WPA or WPA2 security. The DAP-1650 also features four Gigabit Ethernet ports to provide reliable connectivity in wireless networks for game rooms, media centers and home offices.
