Patton Offering Extensive Ethernet Training Sessions

By Tim Gray

Carrier-class network access, connectivity and VoIP products provider Patton-Inalp Networks AG has put forward an extensive seminar training schedule in an effort to educate businesses about its growing core of networking technologies.

The Patton (News - Alert) training sessions and seminars can also be customized at specific locations on subjects ranging from SmartNode Certification to IPLink Access and Router Product Certification.

Maryland-based Patton is the creator of SmartNode VoIP technology. The company provides extensive services in the Ethernet Extenders space with business-class network access, connectivity and VoIP equipment.

The timing of the training programs comes just as the Ethernet switch market is expected to see significant growth over the next few years.

The Ethernet switch market, according to Campbell, a Calif.-based market research firm, is predicting that increasing traffic, including video-based communications, will push the Ethernet market upward of $32 billion globally in 2013.

And this past year has been a busy one for Patton. In 2008 Patton trained dozens of Certified SmartNode Specialists through a global training program delivered in five languages at over two dozen locations including Bern, Paris, Prague, London, and Barcelona, and recently, the Milan office.

Based on SmartWare Release 5.1, the SmartNode Certification Training course provides the in-depth knowledge you need to install and configure the complete line of SmartNode VoIP products for data, voice and telephony applications.

Patton is also presenting Sales Certification Training to provide in-depth sales and marketing certification that is necessary to profitably sell Patton Network Access, Connectivity and VoIP solutions.

As TMCnet recently reported, Patton has continued to make moves in the global business and carrier-class network access, connectivity, VoIP and triple-play equipment market in recent years, and further extended its network extension with the CopperLink Model 2110 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Booster series.

Another course, titled "IPLink Access Router Product Certification," is designed to Provide information needed to be able to recommend, configure and install Patton products in the IPLink product line.

In addition, the Network Access and Connectivity Certification course provides the knowledge needed to be able to recommend, configure and install Patton products in the Connectivity and Network Access product lines.

The last in the series is the ForeFront AIS Certification, which provides the fundamental knowledge you will need to be able to recommend and do the initial configuration of Patton products in the ForeFront AIS product line and the Patton FS6300 Network Management System (NMS).
