Patton, a player in business and carrier-class VoIP, network access, connectivity and video surveillance equipment, has announced that the SmartNode 4400 IpChannelBank won "2009 Product of the Year" from TMC's (News - Alert) INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. The product represents the eighth win for the Gaithersburg, Md., company.
Officials with Patton (News - Alert) said that converting up to 32 traditional analog phone or fax calls to Voice-over-IP, the company's low-cost IpChannelBank reduces overall CPE cost by eliminating multiple devices on the customer premise.
Company officials said that the SN4400 combines VoIP gateway, WAN access, and advanced routing functions with full QoS management and Patton's unique DownstreamQoS in a standalone form factor.
"INTERNET TELEPHONY is proud to present Patton's SmartNode 4400 IpChannelBank with the 2009 Product of the Year Award," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC, in a statement.
Tehrani said that Patton has a longstanding track record of innovation with proven quality and excellence that addresses real needs in the marketplace.
"We expect to see a continuous stream of innovative technology solutions from Patton," he said.
Prior SmartNode awards include 2009 Excellence Award (SmartNode 4638), 2008 Product of the Year (SmartNode 4961) High Precision Multi-PRI VoIP IAD), 2007 Unified Communications (News - Alert) Product of the Year (SmartNode 4650), 2007 Product of the Year (SmartNode S-DTA), 2007 Excellence Award (SmartNode 4562 Voice-VPN Router), 2006 Product of the Year (SmartNode 4960 PRI VoIP IAD), and 2005 Product of the Year (SmartNode 4630 BRI Gateway (News - Alert)).
Company officials said that SmartNode equipment delivers state-of-the art VoIP technology that integrates seamlessly with existing analog POTS and digital ISDN infrastructures.
Back in March Patton had unveiled the Visuality live streaming 3G/4G Mobile Video Surveillance system.
Unique in its ability to record and store high-resolution video from multiple field-deployed cameras while simultaneously streaming live video, audio and global positioning information over standard 3G/4G cellular networks, Visuality is the only real-time video surveillance solution in its class.
Patton's mobile-video surveillance technology provides advanced situational awareness and intelligence distribution tools that enable governments, armed forces, industries and enterprises to save lives, protect infrastructures and preserve assets.
