FaxCore (News - Alert), a provider of Unified Communications, virtualized environments, and Fax over IP (FoIP) integration, announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)), a global, integrated media company, has recognized the company’s FaxCore 2007 suite of products as a recipient of a 2010 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.

The Product of the Year Award recognizes the most innovative products and services brought to the market from March 2010 through March 2011. FaxCore was recognized for its exceptional advancements in Fax over IP integration with voice, messaging and data communications.

FaxCore received this award for the third year in a row. The 2010 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award winners are published on the INTERNET TELEPHONY and Customer Interaction Solutions Web sites.

Earlier in March, FaxCore announced that University of Maryland selected its Fax over IP solution – FaxCore with etherFAX – to deliver a fax solution that would give them the ability to capture and store all of their previous paper-based documents electronically.

The FaxCore with etherFAX offers a unique infrastructure-as-a- service solution (IaaS) model that extends fax server technology to the cloud.  At the University of Maryland, the first application of FaxCore and etherFAX occurred within the Graduate Admissions office, which includes records for incoming students.
