Imecom Group Chooses etherFAX for Fax over IP

By Monica Gleberman, Contributing Writer

etherFAX LLC has redefined cloud-based or Fax over IP (FoIP) by enabling users to send and receive faxes over the Internet, allowing companies to eliminate any monthly fees for an additional phone line. The only expense they occur now is for the faxes they send and receive via FoIP.

Enterprises are always looking to cut costs and maintenance on equipment whenever possible. Employees have begun scanning documents and sending updates via email. Compared to the old-fashioned fax machine, that takes time and, with an additional phone line, could be costly and consume a lot of space. Companies have begun switching much of their equipment over to the cloud, a virtualized working platform or over the Internet.

Imecom Group Inc. has decided to use etherFAX fax over IP solution to send and receive its business-related documents in a secure, fast and efficient way. FoIP allows users to send and receive documents instantly, just as fast as email. There is no waiting to send a fax over the Internet; etherFAX allows multiple users to send multiple documents at the same time.

Shiva Parker, Director of Sales and Marketing at Imecom, said the company is excited to be expanding their technology by working with etherFax. “We are excited to offer etherFAX with our enterprise fax solutions, giving customers new options to leverage the cloud and support their fax communications cost-effectively and securely,” said Parker. “etherFAX offers a scalable platform that extends the capabilities of our Windows Fax Server and Virtual Fax Server products.”

etherFax said the demand for FoIP and over-the-Internet services keeps increasing. “Our partnership with Imecom reinforces the market need for cloud-enabled fax solutions,” said Quinn Corey, Director of Sales at etherFAX. “Imecom is a pioneer in the fax market and we look forward to collaborating with them and delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of today’s enterprise customers,” said Corey.

Now companies can retain peace of mind as they send secure faxes over the Internet at a fraction of the cost of using that old fax machine. FOIP might soon eliminate the need for fax machines altogether, as the future of technology continues to push the boundaries of what we once thought was possible.
