Sharp (News - Alert) Documents Solutions Company of America (SDSCA) first unveiled its Sharp Open Systems Architecture (Sharp OSA) at the AIIM ON DEMAND conference in May of 2006 and FaxCore (News - Alert) was there. FaxCore was also one of the first companies to sign on to the Sharp OSA Partner Program and receive validation for its FaxCore Connector for Sharp OSA enabled MFPs. As the relationship evolved, FaxCore developed several traditional and Fax-over-IP (FoIP) product bundles and programs specifically designed for its Sharp resellers to easily market FaxCore and OSA-enabled MFP solutions. The partnership with Sharp continues today with FaxCore’s support of the latest version of Sharp’s OSA v4.0.
FaxCore is a provider of fax server automation solutions for enterprise organizations using traditional or Fax-over-IP platforms. FaxCore’s fax server application also simplifies the fax-enabling of business processes and other third-party applications. The support of OSA v4.0 is one of several recent steps in FaxCore’s evolutionary product development process and is a critical tool facilitating the integration of FaxCore’s fax server technology with the newest Sharp MFPs.
FaxCore’s powerful server architecture provides a way to significantly improve data and process workflow and offers powerful archiving and routing capabilities. Combined with Sharp’s OSA technology, businesses can take advantage of the latest environmentally friendly solutions, while simultenously improving productivity at the same time. Users are able to send and receive faxes from their PCs as well as fax paper documents from any network connected to Sharp OSA enabled MFP through the FaxCore server.
The FaxCore fax server offers 21st century architecture based on the Microsoft .NET (News - Alert) platform and is designed to provide all of the necessary components necessary for a complete converged IP enterprise solution. The FaxCore Connector and Sharp OSA combo is a great solution for companies seeking environmentally efficient solutions. It can also be integrated into hosted hybrid or cloud fax solutions to achieve an even higher level of efficiency.
Although fax is sometimes ignored by many IT departments, it continues to experience significant growth annually and remains an integral component of business messaging solutions. The reasons for this continued growth are many, but the bottom line is that a 21st century fax and imaging solution is critical in order to compete in today’s global economy.
