FaxCore and Dialogic announce OCS Compatibility+ at ITEXPO West

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

Fax over Internet provider FaxCore is introducing its latest integration with Microsoft’s Office Communications Server “OCS” today at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West in an effort to leverage the successful Dialogic Media Gateway product line, according to the company.

The Denver-based outfit said the models now support simultaneous TCP/UDP for full OCS integration and builds on the Dialogic (News - Alert)/FaxCore product combo intended to provide new ways for companies to maximize their IT investments.

FaxCore (News - Alert) is exhibiting at ITEXPO from Sept. 1 to Sept. 3 in the Los Angeles Convention Center in booth #228. The event is slated to provide an overall educational program that teaches resellers, enterprises, SMBs, and Government Agencies how to select IP-based voice, video, fax, and unified communications to purchase or resell.

The company made a splash earlier this week when it released its FaxCore’s FoIPBOX II – a closely related upgrade to its successful FoIPBOX product series – adding a compact 1U server, FaxCore 2007 SP1 and the latest Dialogic products supporting the robust V.34 fax standard.

Now with the OCS integration, compatible models support 24 to 96 lines of fax. Plus the DMG 4000 series also supports the robust V.34 fax standard, according to the company.

The V.34 offers Error Correction Mode, MMR for higher compression and a data rate of 33.6Kbps for shorter transmission times and lower phone costs, considered a “valued feature” and a competitive advantage.

In addition, the OCS integration has added a new dimension to FaxCore’s Unified Messaging portfolio and extends FaxCore’s support for Microsoft (News - Alert) products which is already very extensive and including being built on a .NET Framework.

In fact, the platform is the only FoIP solution built on the Microsoft .NET (News - Alert) Framework and has emerged as an ideal choice for companies seeking to upgrade their faxing capabilities using the latest, most state-of-the-art technology, according to the company.

Microsoft Server 2003/2008, SQL/SQL Express, plus integration with SharePoint Server 2007,k Exchange 2003/2008 and an Internet Explorer 7 and 8 Web UI.
