Esker (News - Alert), the international leader in document process automation solutions, announced partnership with Protera Technologies, a premier SAP applications provider, to offer a SAP (News - Alert)-integrated, cloud-based solution with advanced fax capabilities.

The solution will help Protera automate all of its customers' faxing requirements.

One of its customers, NB Coatings, wanted to implement a new fax service of their own. "NB Coatings came to us seeking a solution to their fax problems," said Carl Lafoe, Global VP of Hosting and Application Services at Protera.

At the same time, Protera was also exploring options for an SAP-integrated solution that could be implemented as part of their service portfolio to all their customers.

NB Coating processes more than 3,100 faxes per month, the majority of which are invoices. The company required an advanced fax system that could automate the service and offer higher quality of service.

The Esker DeliveryWare was chosen as an on-site solution to NB Coatings' fax issues, but soon they concluded that Esker on Demand was a better overall fit. The fax solution showed great potential for dramatically improving their current faxing process.

With Esker fax solution, Protera and NB Coatings realized the difference and earned significant benefits. The system reduced failures that were common with their older systems. Faxes are now getting delivered without a hitch.

In addition to helping NB Coating, Protera was able to achieve its vision of a cloud-based faxing solution for all of their end users without a major financial commitment. "The pay-as-you-go model was a huge plus for us," added Lafoe. "Rather than us having to handle all of the upfront investment, purchases and infrastructure to run a system like this, Esker takes care of it all. It's been a win-win for everyone involved."

In another recent development, Esker announced that eSlip, a company that helps its customers in management of their estimates, invoices, expenses and timesheets, has selected Esker’s online accounting solution for enhancing the efficiencies of its international mail, fax and e-mail delivery services.
