RingCentral (News - Alert) has said that Ralph Alvy, a Santa Monica based Chiropractor, is using its Internet phone system to manage all his calls.
Alvy said that “accessibility and personal” service are essential to his business, and RingCentral’s Internet phone system is just what the “doctor ordered for managing business communications.”
In business for 26 years, Alvy was seeking for assistance to manage his business communications without having to bear the expense of hiring a full time receptionist.
He said that he has found the “perfect solution in RingCentral’s Internet phone system,” which is like a virtual secretary that enables him to manage all of the calls.
He has set the system up to simultaneously ring his office and mobile phone so that he does not miss any his calls. RingCentral says that its online control center allows Alvy to customize the system to fit his specific needs.
The company’s officials explained that he can direct a call to voicemail but can listen live as the caller leaves a message, and if the call is urgent, he can pick it up immediately.
In addition, RingCentral also sends short message service (SMS) notifications when voice mails or faxes are received.
Through call tracking, RingCentral logs all inbound calls even if callers do not leave a message. Alvy said that it has an accurate record of who called, their phone number, the date, time, duration and result of all calls.
Thanks to Contact Management of RingCentral service, Alvy has more than 1,000 contacts and he is able to update his list daily.
In addition, the contact management feature also helps Alvy to identify and block sales calls he does not wish to take, and he also uses the feature to eliminate junk fax mail from his RingCentral fax number.
“The phone is critical to my business and with RingCentral as a receptionist, I can communicate effectively with my patients, keep my contact list up to date and project a professional image,” said Alvy.
He also claims to have saved money by not hiring a receptionist and has saved time by not having to deal with sales calls and junk faxes.
