Canon (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise document management solutions including copy, print, scan and fax solutions, has recently unveiled its new LASER CLASS 650i multifunction device that delivers improved speed and functionality to enterprises.
"This new LASER CLASS model gives small businesses and enterprise workgroups a full-featured, fax-centric MFP solution that maximizes productivity and usability in a compact size," said Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager, Marketing, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., in a statement.
"For larger offices that already utilize Canon's expansive range of enterprise equipment, the LASER CLASS 650i is a perfect complement to the fleet of larger models,” Yoshida added. “It provides a fully integrated and easy-to-use solution for workgroups or satellite offices."
The new LASER CLASS 650i fax-centric multifunction device comes with more features and faster output speeds than its predecessors. By combining fax, network printing, color scanning and sending, the device helps small businesses and enterprise groups manage their businesses on a day-to-day basis.
Additionally, this fax offering powers features such as job forwarding, faxing from a PC, reception restriction from unwanted senders, memory lock reception and additional security and administrator-controlled functions.The device has the same management utilities available for Canon's imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE solutions, which makes it an ideal solution for enterprise fleet and managed print services (MPS) environments where advanced device monitoring is required.
The device allows for standard copying and network printing (including Canon's UFR II LT, PCL and PostScript Emulation) at speeds up to 35 pages-per-minute; document scanning at up to 29 images-per-minute; and the ability to send scanned color documents to one or multiple destinations via e-mail, network folders, or USB memory media. Other capabilities such as auto-duplexing are included to scan and output double-sided documents.
