FaxCore 2007 FoIP Products Certified Interoperable with Exchange 2010 UM

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

FaxCore, a provider of fax server solutions for enterprise organizations, telecoms, SaaS and specialized ASP providers, has announced that its FaxCore (News - Alert) 2007 line of products has been certified for interoperability with Exchange 2010 UM.

Tom Linhard, president of FaxCore, said FaxCore's interoperability is an example of the company's commitment to providing high quality solutions for their customers by integrating with today's leading UC products"

"FaxCore has always led the way with innovative solutions that remain simple to use yet also reflect customer demand for reliability," Linhard said.

Fax technology continues to play a critical role in messaging for many organizations and many of the same organizations are seeking green solutions that also provide a higher level of security. The ability to send and receive faxes from the desktop solves both of these issues.

A multi-facetted fax server application, the FaxCore 2007 is integrated or built on many Microsoft applications, such as the .NET (News - Alert) Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, Office Communications Server and Microsoft Server 2008.

One of the benefits FaxCore can deliver to clients is the fact that these integrations can be made without the need for connectors or other cumbersome components. As all Exchange versions are supported through the SMTP, the solution is considered the preferred choice for enterprises with a mixed Exchange environment or one that is migrating to 2010.

Transactional data is stored in the SQL version packaged with FaxCore 2007, while inbound documents can be automatically filed in SharePoint folders. The solution is also designed to provide standard reports and SQL Reporting Tools to allow for custom report generation.

As FaxCore 2007 also supports mixed messaging from Outlook for outbound documents, a single e-mail can be sent to multiple e-mail and fax addresses with the click of a single button. Print-to-fax and automated faxing from 3rd party applications are also supported in this solution.

FaxCore positions its product suite as delivering significant value in mobility and flexibility. A strategic Dialogic (News - Alert) partner, the company's FaxCore 2007 can support analog, digital or FoIP fax solutions and run in a physical server or a virtual environment. In addition, the product can easily scale from 2 lines to hundreds of fax lines quickly and securely.

FaxCore 2007 provides a Web User Interface (UI) that ensures users and administrators have access from any location with Internet access. Combined with Microsoft's (News - Alert) Office Communications Server, FaxCore 2007 users can now enjoy the flexibility to work anywhere, while also taking advantage of full messaging and communications capabilities.

In other FaxCore news, Max Schroeder (News - Alert), senior vice president at FaxCore, noted last month that communications can be streamlined very simply with the implementation of fax over IP, or FoIP, with a True 21st Century Fax Server. When these operations are fully automated, it can reduce employee time. In some cases such as approach can generate an immediate return on investment in real dollars.
