GPS Insight is giving new functionality and faster load times to users by upgrading its dashboard mapping and browser-based mapping to Google (News - Alert) Maps.
GPS Insight provides GPS fleet tracking software to users. This upgrade equips the company with best-of-class maps and includes an option that provides actual photographs of a vehicle's location to customers.
Google Maps also provides satellite imagery to GPS Insight, which finds the move to Google Maps to enhance many core capabilities of its product thanks to Google's considerable capabilities.
“As we quickly grow our user base, our use of Google Maps ensures we can continue to meet customer requirements. Additionally, we can now spend time on improving our award winning product which was previously spent maintaining our map and road data infrastructure,” said Robert Donat, CEO and founder of GPS Insight.
GPS Insight leverages high quality GPS hardware and add the customization and enhancements required by fleet-based companies. Solution provided by the companies includes a range of features that can be customized and deliver a very high return on investment.
GPS Insight was in news earlier this year for announcing its new mobile app for Android in addition to its existing iPhone (News - Alert) app.
Fleet managers leverage the GPS Insight Mobile for Android (News - Alert) to enjoy freedom from being chained to their desks. This solution allows users to easily and quickly view the status of vehicle location.
More features will be added to this newly released app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
