IDI Billing Solutions (IDI), formerly Info Directions (News - Alert), a provider of hosting billing solutions for the telecommunications industry, has renewed a contract with Coral Springs, Fla.-based networkWCS, a brand of Wholesale Carrier Services (News - Alert), (WCS), for CostGuard billing and operations solution and OnlineBill electronic bill presentment and payment interface.
WCS, a privately owned company that provides telecommunications services to mid- to large-size enterprise clients, first signed IDI in 2004.
The company is a facilities-based SIP network provider and a leading reseller of over 125 regional and global carriers as well as a licensed CLEC for local dialtone throughout the U.S. It buys services from these network providers at wholesale spot market rates under high-volume purchase agreements then "packages" the customer's desired combination of carrier backbones, network architecture and contract terms.
"WCS is a leader in the enterprise network communications marketplace. The company's commitment to building out new products and services ensures its resellers and their customers always have access to quality communications solutions that are as simple to manage as they are cost effective," said Donald Culeton, president and CEO of IDI, in a statement.
"We are pleased that our billing and operations solution continues to play an important role for WCS as the company focuses on developing new growth opportunities and maintaining the top-notch service and support for which it has consistently been recognized," Culeton added.
IDI’s hosted billing solutions, including CostGuard B/OSS, enables WCS to manage their complex product schemas, and create a single, consolidated communications service invoice for its enterprise customers. Additionally, CostGuard's automation capabilities help telcos eliminate manual operations and create a faster order-to-billing process that improves cash flow.
The OnlineBill electronic bill presentment and payment interface provides WCS' clients with a paperless invoicing option, delivering comprehensive customer care capabilities and a user-friendly billing experience, company officials said.
"The ability to manage products easily, create unique packages and produce accurate, easy-to-read invoices is strength for us in the market," said Chris S. Barton, president and CEO of WCS, in a statement. "We appreciate the flexibility we have with CostGuard and the expertise of the IDI team members who know our business."
Outsourcing a company’s billing services from hosted providers can help companies save hugely on infrastructure costs, TMCnet reported recently. With cloud-based meter-to-cash billing services, companies can improve their efficiency to be able to meet customer demands even better, the report said.
