Billing experts from the service providers around the world chose Transverse and its TRACT activity-based hosted billing platform as the winner of the coveted Cloud Innovation Award at the Pipeline Publishing 2012 Innovation Awards (held during TM Forum’s (News - Alert) Management World). A distinguished panel of analysts and executives from AT&T, BT, Cox, Intelsat, TELUS, Turkcell, and Yota recognized TRACT’s cloud technology innovation over a field of submissions that included Redknee (News
- Alert), Zuora and others.
Transverse powers TRACT, the all-in-one activity, rating and subscription hosted billing platform that can monetize anything that can be measured. High-growth companies with subscription and activity-based business models use TRACT to automate billing, increase revenue, identify customer trends, and deepen customer loyalty.
“TRACT is a true multi-tenant, SaaS (News
- Alert)-based system, which means it brings the most robust and crucial components of rating and billing to companies aiming to monetize and personalize services without multi-million-dollar software purchases, upgrades or integration projects,” said Transverse CEO and co-founder James Messer (News - Alert), in a statement. “With this model, all sizes of businesses get activity-based billing capabilities without huge capital expenditures or lengthy deployments – the type of which traditionally locked out all but the largest of service providers.”
TRACT brings the billing and BSS stack into the cloud also translates into zero downtime through a high-availability architecture that would be impossible for mid-sized businesses to build on their own.
“This is something no other SaaS-based subscription biller can provide. It is a critical requirement in the digital economy, where the customer experience ties directly to uptime,” added Messer.
Messer wrote in a recent blog post, “TRACT won over numerous sophisticated legacy bililng and rating providers such as Redknee and up-and-coming SaaS subscription management and recurring payments providers, such as Zuora (News - Alert).”
The judges’ choices in the Cloud Innovation and other categories validated the importance of moving billing beyond the confines of legacy enterprise platforms, according to Messer. TRACT provides a downward shift in the cost model for billing solutions, which in turn enables business model innovation to occur by removing the “software tax” associated with expensive bespoke on-premise solutions.
Transverse’s mission is to build complete hosted billing solutions delivered through the cloud to alleviate the time, cost and stress normally associated with big enterprise deployments or force fitting an incomplete solution into the back-office.
Another hosted billing provider, Cycle30, is at The Cable Show (NCTA) in Boston this week at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Meet Cycle30 and learn about its hosted billing solutions in booth 2242!
