RapidScale is known for its pioneering contributions in the field of technologies enabling the integration of cloud computing services and business apps as a service. The integration is aimed at simplifying customers’ IT operations, increasing operational efficiency and reducing costs without interfering with the customer’s business methods.
With a goal to expand its offering to include Infrastructure as a Service, SimpleSignal (News - Alert), a global provider of cloud-based voice, video, and mobile communication solutions, has teamed up with cloud computing services provider, RapidScale.
Under the White Label partnership, RapidScale will provide SimpleSignal with a host of services that include business apps as a service, desktop as a service, hosted exchange, disaster recovery as a service, and infrastructure as a service. These services will make a significant value addition to SimpleSignal’s existing hosted PBX (News - Alert) solution. It will be relevant to mention here that SimpleSignal happens to be one of the first companies to extend video PBX telephony over iPads, iPhones and Android (News - Alert) mobile devices
The partnership is likely to complement each others’ strength so that end users are provided with a better level of service. Mark Szotkowski, president of RapidScale, views the partnership as a very powerful market solution for the channel and for the end user experience. It’s the true convergence of business apps on any device, anywhere.
In partnering with RapidScale, SimpleSignal is able to offer “best of breed” Infrastructure as a Service to its channel partners and customers.
“This partnership allows us to leverage Rapid Scale’s expertise and infrastructure while ensuring that we remain focused on Communications as a Service. Their extensive portfolio in cloud services coupled with our hosted PBX capabilities allow for a ‘true’ unified communications offering that customers are demanding today,” executive VP of SimpleSignal Michael Sterl explained in a statement.
With an aim to increase customer support, SimpleSignal recently launched hosted voice integration with Microsoft Lync. The launch avails three integration builds, targeting different Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync installations on the market.
