Your business is only as strong as the communications system behind it, and with the dominance of mobile devices among consumers and employees today, your communications needs to keep up. Providing the same quality experience for communications out of office as in office today can be the make-or-break factor for business success.
8x8’s (News - Alert) product portfolio constantly offers breakthrough technologies that change the communications landscape. Whether you are looking for business phone systems, unified communications solutions, call center products, Web or video conferencing services or just equipment to improve your communications, 8x8 has a product for you.
8x8 is taking its product offering one step further with the appointment of Ramana Gottipati, a 15-year product management and marketing veteran, as Vice President of Product Management and Adoption, where he will lead the product roadmap for 8x8’s unified communications services and initiatives across mobile and broadband platforms.
Unified communications help businesses lower costs and operate more efficiently. 8x8’s unified communications solutions combine its VoIP business phone system and Virtual Office solution with three online productivity tools – online meetings, call recording and Internet fax capabilities -- to help users work smarter, regardless of location.
"Ramana brings a keen understanding of mobile and cloud technology adoption to 8x8 along with a track record of innovation and leadership with some of Silicon Valley's top technology companies," said 8x8 Chairman and CEO Bryan Martin in a statement. "This expertise will serve 8x8 well as we continue to penetrate the small and medium sized business market with compelling, cloud-based services that help businesses collaborate more effectively while also reducing costs. We are very excited to welcome Ramana as the newest member of our executive management team."
Gottipati’s resume includes Apple (News - Alert) and various startups, overseeing strategic mobile, Web and e-commerce initiatives. He also focused on the development and implementation of a marketing and partnership strategy to support Autodesk’s (News - Alert) global expansion and worked as senior director of product management and marketing at RealNetworks to drive the digital media product lines to deliver media services on mobile and broadband networks worldwide – experience that no doubt prepared him for his new role at 8x8.
"8x8's disruptive communications technology is changing the way businesses operate at all levels and still, the available market is enormous," said Gottipati. "I'm thrilled to be joining the company at this very exciting stage and look forward to working with 8x8's customers and the product development organization to enhance our service offerings domestically and overseas."
