VoIP solutions provider REVE Systems has appointed Craig Span to the title of regional sales head for the North & South America region.

Span will be based in Philadelphia and brings more than 16 years of experience in the VoIP industry. In his new role, Span will be responsible for the company’s business and helping to improve its market share in North America & Latin America.

Prior to joining REVE Systems, Span was associated with VoIP Service providers like Deltathree and Callvox.

“We welcome Craig to the REVE family and with his background in the IP industry, we believe he will be able to lead the team in that region effectively,” said REVE Systems’ CEO M Rezaul Hassan in a statement. “Under his leadership, our team will be able to serve our customers more innovatively.”

Recently the company was awarded the 2012 NGN Leadership Award from Next Gen Mobility Magazine for its innovation with iTel Switch Plus.

The iTel Switch Plus is a carrier grade softswitch that comes with an integrated billing solution and interactive voice response (IVR) system. It was designed to suit VoIP service providers with retail and wholesale operations irrespective of scale, the company said.
