Junction Networks (News - Alert), a hosted VoIP solutions provider, has won
INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine’s 2007 Product of the Year Award for its onSIP Hosted PBX
.
Each year, INTERNET TELEPHONY awards the companies that have created the most innovative products. The INTERNET TELEPHONY editors select companies demonstrating the vision, leadership and attention to detail that are hallmarks of the Product of the Year award.
Junction Networks’ onSIP is designed for U.S.-based small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Going beyond merely replacing the traditional PBX (News - Alert), onSIP includes both basic (free extension dialing, SIP-to-SIP
dialing, voicemail-to-email and own domain usage) and advanced (hunt groups, ACDs, business hour routing, advanced speech apps) features.
In contrast to typical PBX hosts that offer all-or-nothing feature bundles and charge $20, $30 or $40 per user line per month, Junction Networks charges its customers only for calling minutes that go off its network, at low VoIP
rates. The company charges one monthly $39.95 network fee that covers the entire “onSIP Complete” plan, including a comprehensive suite of advanced features.
onSIP is based on Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP), and can thus work with most SIP-enabled phones. In addition, the solution is compatible with a broad range of softphones, application servers and analog telephony adaptors.
“Being chosen for this award is an honor and solidifies that the three-year investment in developing and testing the onSIP service was well worth the wait,” said Robert Wolpov, Junction Networks, president in a statement.
Wolpov added: “We take this award seriously and will continue to keep innovation top of mind as the onSIP service evolves to fill the changing needs of SMBs.”
