Hosted VoIP and unified communications solution provider Cypress Communications (News - Alert) recently announced that its executive vice president of marketing, Frank Grillo, was named “2008 Technology Marketing Executive of the Year” by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

 

The award is given in recognition of an individual’s contributions within an organization and toward the advancement of technology marketing as a whole.

 

Calling Grillo a “visionary communications executive,” company officials said he is known for his ability to identify growth opportunities and to produce “extraordinary results” that make a real contribution to the bottom line of an organization.

 

Officials also noted that Grillo’s strong background in sales and product management balanced with years of service delivery experience enable him to deliver on both sides of the marketing equation.

 

“I am incredibly honored to be recognized by the Technology Association of Georgia,” said Grillo. “While I accept this award in my name, it represents much more than a personal achievement—it is a testament to the hard work, dedication and collaborative success of the Cypress team.”

 

Prior to joining Cypress Communications in August of 2005, Grillo, a veteran of the industry, worked as senior vice president of business services for Z-Tel and as senior vice president of global business markets for MCI WorldCom. He has also worked with LDDS.

 

At Cypress, Grillo is responsible for the executive management of all marketing and sales support functions — marketing communications, sales training, product marketing, and sales support, as well as product development and management.
