Ping Identity, a cloud identity management leader, has announced the availability of PingFederate as an Amazon Machine Image on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud.
The availability of PingFederate AMIs gives enterprises a robust CIM solution while leveraging the efficiencies of Amazon's Web Services for time to market and scalability.
PingFederate offers simple, proven and secure cloud identity management for virtually any business use case and helps employees, customers or partners to securely access applications in the Cloud.
Officials said that its ability to integrate with existing legacy infrastructures eliminates the need to replicate identities and provides a secure standards-based solution for cloud single sign-on, secure mobile access and API security.
"With PingFederate AMI, organizations now have a new way to leverage Ping Identity's market leading cloud identity management platform," said Julie Smith, director of product marketing, Ping Identity, in a release. "In private, public, or hybrid configurations, PingFederate is a great choice for enterprises that have many identity use cases and want truly simple, proven, and secure cloud identity management."
From facilitating test environments on a hosted platform to building an entire business infrastructure in the Cloud, or leveraging both private and public cloud platforms and applications to gain greater efficiencies, the PingFederate AMI enables enterprises to implement identity and access management for virtually any cloud environment.
"We looked at various vendors, but Ping met our entire checklist," said Geezeo Vice President of Technology James Elwood. The online financial management tools provider needed a simple way to get banks securely SSO-enabled and connected to its personal financial management solution, deployed on Amazon EC2. "It was more robust than anything that we could have built on our own," Elwood said.
