ARRIS Group, Inc., an organization that provides IP, video and broadband technology solutions, recently announced that its E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) has been selected by Multimedia Polska Group to upgrade its channel density and provide subscribers high-performance broadband service and an exceptional TV viewing experience.
The E6000 Router provides a high availability, high performance solution with high scalability. All elements of the E6000 CER are redundant, either N+1 or 1+1, and all are hot-swappable which adds up to 99.999 percent system availability. In addition, the E6000 CER integrated architecture minimizes the effort and time required for initial installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Multimedia Polska Group said the solution will help them realize significant savings in terms of head-end real estate (rack space), powering, and cooling requirements. The E6000 CER allows an operator to cost-effectively deploy DOCSIS, PacketCable, DSG/ADSG, and PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) services. Cable operators deploying the E6000 CER will benefit from an unprecedented level of service group and channel density, both upstream and downstream.
"Advances in technology are radically altering subscriber demands and requirements. Our strategy is focused around the level and quality of services that we provide, and our main goal is to guarantee subscribers high quality television and fast and reliable Internet access. The implementation of ARRIS E6000 CER will have a significant impact on our services progress and standard," said Krzysztof Jaskolski, technical department director of Multimedia Polska Group. "Our successful, long-term cooperation with ARRIS and VECTOR guarantees the reliability and quality of our common undertaking."
In related news, SK Broadband, a leading integrated communications company in South Korea, announced that it will deploy the E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) from ARRIS Group, Inc., enabling the service provider to launch its new 1GB data service, as well as enhanced entertainment experiences.
