TMC (News - Alert), a global, integrated media company has recently recognized SPIRIT DSP’s Web-based video conferencing software, VideoMost.com, with the 2011 Unified Communications (News - Alert) Product of the Year Award, sponsored by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

SPIRIT DSP, an IP media server provider, allows carriers, OEMs and software developers to deliver superior quality and integrated voice and video over IP services for telcos, cable and mobile service providers, enterprises, internet portals and social networks.

Based on SPIRIT DSP's video engine for Windows, Mac, Android (News - Alert) and iOS clients and Windows or Linux-based video conferencing servers, VideoMost.com is targeted for licensing to telecom carriers and service/SaaS providers as a white-labeled branded service for their enterprise customers who demand reliable and secure video communication, complete with data logging, presence, meeting moderation and documents sharing.

In a press release, Alex Kravchenko, SPIRIT's VP Sales, said, "We are extremely pleased that INTERNET TELEPHONY has once again recognized VideoMost.com for its ground-breaking ability to enable telcos to quickly offer new and highly demanded Telco-OTT services, like video conferencing, to their subscribers."

He further added, "VideoMost.com lets service providers generate new revenue, lower operating costs, reduce churn and increase customer satisfaction of their own-branded service offerings, while competing effectively against Skype (News - Alert) and Google - who's products were not built for secure, administrated multi-point corporate video conferencing."

The IP media server productVideoMost.com embraces a highly scalable H.264SVC video codec and SPIRIT's IP-MRTM wideband voice codec to enable HD voice and multi-party video calling. It works on connections from 512 Kbps and provides up to 30 fps HD 720p, supporting an unprecedented 1,000 concurrent video channels per single $4,000 PC server.
