Other factors include the adoption of 3G and 4G wireless data services, strong growth in wireless data services loaded with multiple data streams such as audio, video and multimedia, and the subsequent need for the management of IP addresses in Asia-Pacific.

The number of devices connected to IP networks will be three times the size of the global population by the year 2018. The Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) will be one the most crucial area of network management.
