Canadian private equity firm NOVACAP reported that it has bought on the U.S.-based Host.net (News - Alert), a multinational provider of managed infrastructure services, as part of its investment strategy to expand into the United States market.
Host.net operates multiple enterprise-class data centers connected to an extensive fiber-optic backbone delivering Internet, MPLS and layer 2 communications, using a wide array of last-mile options. The company caters to major metropolitans in North America and portions of Europe, with over 700 customers ranging from small to large multinationals.
