As cloud communications continue to take over in enterprise systems, interactive voice response (IVR) systems are also increasing in adoption. Hosted and cloud solutions don’t require hardware or maintenance costs – basically, the majority of expenses associated with infrastructure. Nimblevox, Interact Inc.’s cloud communications solution, offers advanced features including automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, answering machine detection, outbound dialing, SMS solutions, APIs and IVR systems.
Earlier this year, Skyview Capital acquired Interact Inc. through its portfolio company, NewNet (News - Alert) Communication Technologies, to offer customers an even broader range of communication solutions. It currently offers next-generation mobile, fixed line networks, messaging and transaction processing solutions.
TMC (News - Alert) recently caught up with Mary Lynch, director of marketing at NewNet, who explained a little bit more about how it will utilize Interact’s IVR platforms and solutions, what the acquisition means for NewNet and what role IVR plays in the technology and communications industry today.
“The Interact products will be a key addition to the TraxcomSecure and Mobile Messaging technologies, expanding NewNet’s development initiatives,” Lynch said. “Interact Inc.’s high performance, hosted or customer premise installed Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solution Nimblevox allows companies to bring voice and SMS applications to market in a shorter timeframe, without writing a single line of code.”
The acquisition broadens NewNet’s product offering to telecom carrier clients and brings positive elements, including extended global market reach, mobility and secure transaction products, total integrated speech applications and a solid company foundation.
Nimblevox’s hosted IVR capabilities help any organization leverage interactive voice response technology at an affordable price. Whether you want to survey customers, blast out notifications or alerts, route calls with an auto attendant, process orders and payments or develop your own custom campaign, Nimblevox can help.
“VoiceXML (News - Alert) and CCXML technologies have changed the traditional thinking of automated telephony and voice systems, bringing standardization flexibility, and interoperability to telecommunication and networks,” Lynch explained. “Because of the integration of text-to-speech, speech-to-text and Web-enabled functionality, IVRs are evolving to serve much broader applications and markets. At the same time, modern soft IVRs are driving costs and infrastructure dramatically lower; a win-win for developers and users alike.”
