The ability to access sample application code and receive tips on building IVR applications is certainly a value added service and IVR system provider Plum Voice has recognized the benefit such an approach can deliver to clients.
With the release of the latest version of the Plum IVR and VoiceXML (News - Alert) Support Forum, VoiceXML developers gain such added benefits, as well as the opportunity to receive general developer support. This new support forum is available as a free resource to anyone with a Plum Hosted IVR Account of a Plum IVR System.
This latest version of the support forum now offers a new layout with a number of new features, including the search function that has been improved. Developers can now view posts written on specific search topics that date back several years. The forum also includes searchable code and application samples to provide instruction to those who need to automate a specific type of call.
Any programmer who is starting to learn VoiceXML or the VoiceXML expert looking to add advanced functionality to their IVR applications, the Plum VoiceXML support forum is a valuable resource.
In addition to the support offered by the forum, IVR programmers can also access the Plum VoiceXML platform without charge to learn VoiceXML basics, automate a company's most frequent telephony tasks or create innovative voice applications that use speech recognition and text-to-speech.
Interested developers can visit the company's website to sign up for a free account.
In other Plum Voice news, the company announced last week an upgrade to its IVR system. For these new upgrades, Plum Voice wanted to focus on ways to improve outbound IVR call campaigns for its users.
According to Scott Wilson of Plum Voice, one of the new features of the upgraded IVR system is a throttling options to control the flow and speed of outbound calls. In addition, new comprehensive downloadable reports and analytics are also new functionalities for users.
Last month, Plum Voice partnered with Tyler Technologies (News - Alert) to expand its IVR system within Tyler's portfolio. As an end-to-end information management solutions and services provider for local governments, the agreement with Plum Voice delivers an added layer of support to Tyler's public sector clients.
